Independent SEND advice & advocacy

Calm, clear support for parents navigating the SEND system.

I help families through EHC needs assessments, Annual Reviews and SEND Tribunal appeals, with IPSEA Level 3 training and the lived experience of a parent who has been there.

How I can help

Wherever you are in the process, I help you understand your child's rights, meet the deadlines and put your case clearly.

01

EHC needs assessments

From the first request to a finalised plan: what to ask for, what evidence matters and what to do if the answer is no.

02

Annual Reviews

Making sure the plan keeps pace with your child, with provision that is specific, quantified and actually delivered.

03

SEND Tribunal appeals

Practical support and advocacy through every stage of an appeal, from paperwork and deadlines to preparing your case.

04

Complaints & the Ombudsman

Raising formal complaints with the Local Authority and escalating to the LGSCO where appropriate.

About Kate

“Too often, families are expected to navigate a broken system alone. I work to change that.”

My journey into SEN advocacy began as a parent seeking the right support for my own child. What started as a personal mission has grown into a deep commitment to helping other families find their way through an often overwhelming system.

I hold IPSEA Level 1, 2 and 3 certification, and I volunteer as Parent Engagement Lead with the Cheshire East Parent Carer Forum, helping run support networks and working with local services to improve outcomes for SEND families.

Before advocacy I spent seven years in recruitment, latterly managing a team. That background means I'm organised, persistent and comfortable holding professionals to account, always with your child at the centre.
